One Direction ( Harry Styles,Louis Tomlinson,Liam Payne,Niall Horan and Zayn Malik) first started out on the X Factor. They tried out as solos. They didn't make it through as solos but got brought back and put into a group.They made it through to the final but sadly came 3rd place. But, One Direction became global and made an album. One Direction were born!
